Sony has officially introduced the Bravia 8 II QD-OLED TV series in India. Available in 55 inch and 65 inch sizes, these new televisions bring a premium viewing and audio experience powered by advanced features like the XR processor, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and Acoustic Surface Audio Plus. The smart TVs also come with Google TV integration and AI-driven picture enhancements for a refined user experience.
The Bravia 8 II QD-OLED series is priced at Rs 2,46,990 for the 55 inch model and Rs 3,41,990 for the 65 inch model. Both variants are available at Sony Centres, the ShopatSC website, and select electronics retailers across India. These TVs support a 2,160 by 3,840 pixels resolution display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and offer a near theatre-like sound output thanks to their compatibility with Dolby Atmos and DTS audio formats.
These models are powered by the XR processor equipped with artificial intelligence capabilities. This allows the television to analyze and optimize visuals in real time. With XR Contrast Booster and XR Triluminos Max technology, the TVs upscale content close to 4K quality and deliver natural, vibrant colors with impressive clarity. The design features a Slim One Slate build with a smudge resistant screen for a more refined aesthetic.
For gamers, the TVs are optimized to pair with the PlayStation 5, supporting 4K gameplay at 120 frames per second. Features like variable refresh rate, auto low latency mode, and auto HDR tone mapping are included, enhancing performance during fast paced gaming sessions. A dedicated Game Menu offers quick access to crucial settings like motion blur and VRR.
Sony has also included Studio Calibrated Modes, which automatically adjust picture settings to reflect the creator's intent. In addition to Netflix and Sony Pictures Core calibrated modes, the Bravia 8 II series now includes Prime Video Calibrated Mode. Buyers can access a curated library of movies through Sony Pictures Core, with 10 free streaming credits valid for 24 months.
Connectivity is equally robust with support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, four HDMI ports, two USB ports, a built in Chromecast, and an audio jack. The TV interface runs on Google TV and supports voice control and multiple user profiles.
