Collins Aerospace, a unit of RTX, has opened its new India Operations Centre (CIOC) at the KIADB Aerospace Park in Bengaluru. Spanning 26 acres, the facility will serve as a global manufacturing hub for advanced aerospace systems, including seats, lighting, cargo components, temperature sensors, and communication systems.

The new site is designed to meet growing international demand and will employ more than 2,200 people by 2026. It will use advanced automation tools, additive manufacturing, and AI-driven systems to streamline production.
“The CIOC will drive operations for over 70 Collins products, enhancing worldwide service transformation,” said Roy Gullickson, Senior VP of Operations at Collins Aerospace. The facility also features a LEED Silver-certified building management system that aligns with sustainability goals.
With over 6,500 employees across India, Collins Aerospace continues to strengthen its local presence with new R&D and testing centers in Bengaluru. This new facility reinforces the company’s commitment to manufacturing excellence and sustainable innovation in aerospace technology.
