Samsung is set to unveil its next generation foldable smartphones at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9, and leaked details are already stirring significant excitement. According to insider reports shared by trusted source Roland Quandt via WinFuture, the tech giant is preparing to introduce not just the expected Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, but also a brand new budget friendly variant named the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. These leaks offer an early look at the improvements in design, display, performance, and battery across the new lineup.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to bring significant changes in build and form. Samsung has reportedly focused on making the device thinner and lighter than ever before. When unfolded, it could measure just 4.2 millimeters in thickness and 8.9 millimeters when folded. Weighing just 216 grams, it would become one of the slimmest and lightest foldables available, competing with devices like the Oppo Find N5. Despite the compact build, the Fold 7 is said to retain its 4,400mAh battery.

Display upgrades are also part of the package, with a larger 6.5 inch outer screen and a main 8 inch foldable inner display. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and come in storage options starting from 256GB, going up to 512GB, and possibly even 1TB in select markets. A major highlight is the 200 megapixel primary camera which could drastically improve photo quality, although other camera specifications are yet to be confirmed. The device is expected to launch in black, blue, and silver variants.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7, Samsung’s stylish clamshell foldable, is also receiving important upgrades. The most noticeable change is the new 4.1 inch wraparound cover screen, an aesthetic shift that places it closer to the look of Motorola’s Razr series. This new screen is designed to offer more usability without opening the phone and blends seamlessly around the dual camera module.

Inside, the Z Flip 7 will house a 4,300mAh battery, making it the largest battery ever in a Flip model. It will be offered in 256GB and 512GB storage configurations and is expected to feature a 50 megapixel primary sensor. The color palette is expected to align with the Fold 7, adding visual consistency across the series.

The most surprising addition this year is the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, a more affordable Fan Edition model. Designed for users who want a foldable experience without paying a premium, the Flip 7 FE may come with some scaled down features such as a 4,000mAh battery and limited storage options of 128GB and 256GB. Interestingly, despite being budget oriented, it might still feature the same wraparound cover screen seen on the regular Z Flip 7. This contradicts earlier rumors that suggested Samsung might reuse the Flip 6 design for this model. The FE variant is expected to launch in classic black and white colors.

Samsung’s focus this year appears to be refining the foldable experience while making it more accessible to a wider audience. The inclusion of a Fan Edition model for the Flip series indicates a strategic push to expand the foldable market beyond premium buyers. While all specifications are yet to be officially confirmed, these leaks paint a clear picture of Samsung’s intentions to lead the foldables space with bold upgrades and new consumer friendly choices.
