Amazfit has launched its newest smartwatch, the Amazfit Active 2 Square, in global markets including the US and Europe. The new wearable comes with a 1.75-inch AMOLED display and a sleek square design encased in a stainless steel frame. Its standout feature is the high-resolution screen with Sapphire glass protection, offering a sharp 390 by 450 resolution and brightness up to 2000 nits, making it easily viewable in all conditions.
The watch is powered by a 260mAh battery which promises up to 10 days of usage on a single charge and can stretch to 19 days in Battery Saver Mode. It also includes Bluetooth 5.2 and BLE connectivity, allowing users to take and make calls directly from their wrist. Android users can even reply to messages through keyboard or voice input, while iOS users get camera shutter control from the watch.
Fitness tracking is at the heart of the Amazfit Active 2 Square. It supports over 160 sports modes such as running, yoga, swimming, padel, and even niche ones like pickleball and hyrox racing. The built-in BioTracker 6.0 PPG sensor provides 24-hour heart rate tracking, sleep analysis, blood oxygen monitoring, breathing rate detection, and menstrual cycle tracking.
A key highlight is the integration of Zepp Flow, a voice assistant that allows users to manage settings, schedule events, and interact with their smartwatch hands-free. The watch also supports step tracking, calorie count, pace, and distance, catering to a wide range of fitness needs.
Customization options are extensive, with over 400 watch faces available. The smartwatch is water-resistant up to 50 meters and is compatible with devices running Android 7.0 or later and iOS 15.0 or later. Currently available in a black color variant, the Amazfit Active 2 Square is priced at 149.9 US dollars, roughly translating to Rs 12000. There is no official word yet on the India launch timeline.
