Primebook is gearing up to launch the next iteration of its Android laptop series with the Primebook 2 Neo, scheduled to hit the Indian market on July 31. Backed by the MediaTek Helio G99 processor, the device blends affordability with smart features like a built-in AI assistant, PDF summarisation tools, and a gaming-optimised experience.

The Primebook 2 Neo will run on PrimeOS 3.0 based on Android 15, offering a familiar mobile-like interface tailored for laptops. The device will pack 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, expandable up to 512GB through a microSD card. Targeted at students, young professionals, and casual users, the laptop is designed to handle multitasking, content consumption, and even light gaming.

One of its most talked-about features is the AI Companion Mode. This on-screen assistant is designed to summarise long articles, PDFs, and websites while helping with basic operational tasks through voice and text inputs. Users will also have access to a global search tool that scans across apps, files, and settings, saving time and boosting productivity.

Gamers will find the laptop’s integrated keymapping feature and performance mode especially useful, as it is optimised for Android games. The device also opens access to over 50000 Android apps through a dedicated store, making it a unique blend of smartphone familiarity and desktop usability.

The laptop will support cloud-based Linux and Windows access in closed beta, offering a taste of desktop computing flexibility in a compact format. Its lightweight build and minimal design further add to the appeal, especially for those seeking portability without compromising on smart features.

Primebook 2 Neo will retail at ₹15,990 and will be available on Amazon, Flipkart, and the brand’s official site. As an introductory offer, the first 100 buyers on Primebook’s website will get an additional ₹1,000 off, making it one of the most value-driven laptop launches in recent months.
