Apple has officially lifted the curtain on the next-generation Apple Vision Pro, now powered by its latest M5 chip. The upgraded headset delivers faster performance, sharper visuals, improved AI capabilities, and enhanced battery life — all wrapped in a redesigned Dual Knit Band for better comfort and fit. Running on the new visionOS 26, the device brings an even more immersive experience for entertainment, creativity, and productivity.

Sleek Design and Enhanced Comfort

The Apple Vision Pro M5 features the new Dual Knit Band, made with a 3D-knitted dual-strap design that provides stability and balance during extended use. The band includes tungsten inserts for durability and a Fit Dial for easy adjustments. Available in three sizes, the band is also backward compatible with the first-generation Vision Pro, allowing existing users to upgrade seamlessly.

Power of the M5 Chip

At its core, the Vision Pro M5 runs on Apple’s M5 processor built on advanced 3nm architecture. The chip features a 10-core CPU and a 10-core GPU, delivering significantly smoother graphics and faster real-time rendering. Apple says the new GPU architecture enables more realistic lighting and shadows in visually demanding titles like Control and enhances 3D simulation fidelity.

The M5 also integrates a 16-core Neural Engine that drives Vision Pro’s AI workflows, including tools for spatial creativity, immersive collaboration, and enterprise-level visualization. Combined with the R1 co-processor, which processes data from 12 cameras, five sensors, and six microphones with a refresh time of just 12 milliseconds, the device ensures unparalleled real-time responsiveness.

Display and Immersive Performance

The upgraded micro-OLED display offers 10 percent more pixels than before, making text and graphics sharper. The headset supports refresh rates up to 120Hz for fluid visuals, especially while using Mac Virtual Display or watching high-frame-rate content.

Battery life has also improved, offering up to 2.5 hours of standard use and 3 hours of video playback per charge. This makes it more practical for professional and entertainment sessions alike.

AI and Creative Capabilities

The Vision Pro M5’s AI capabilities extend into creative workflows, allowing users to generate lifelike Personas, transform photos into 3D spatial scenes, and visualize complex datasets. Developers can utilize Apple’s Foundation Models to build advanced AI applications optimized for Vision Pro’s on-device processing.

The headset’s visionOS 26 introduces upgraded Apple Intelligence features, letting users experience interactive environments and spatial computing in new ways. From watching immersive 180° and 360° videos to playing compatible iPad and PlayStation VR2 titles, Vision Pro blurs the line between reality and imagination.

Built for Professionals and Creators

Beyond entertainment, the new Vision Pro supports advanced creative tools like Pixelmator, Keynote, and Da Vinci Eye. These apps allow designers and professionals to edit, present, and collaborate in fully immersive 3D environments. For businesses and creators alike, Vision Pro M5 is now a serious productivity powerhouse.

Pricing and Availability

The Apple Vision Pro M5 starts at $3,499 (approximately ₹3,08,000) and will be available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB variants. Pre-orders are live across major Apple markets including the US, UK, Japan, Germany, and the UAE, with sales beginning October 22. Pre-orders in China and Singapore start on October 17, while South Korea and Taiwan will follow later.

With its blend of cutting-edge AI, performance, and immersive design, the new Vision Pro sets a new benchmark for the future of spatial computing.
