iQOO is all set to bring its most powerful smartphone yet — the iQOO 15 — to India next month. The upcoming flagship is generating buzz for being one of the first devices powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. The device will first launch in China on October 20 before making its way to Indian markets in November.

A Next-Gen Flagship Experience

The iQOO 15 will be a significant leap from its predecessor, the iQOO 13, both in performance and design. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset promises major improvements in speed, efficiency, and gaming performance, making it one of the most anticipated smartphone processors of the year. iQOO’s Q3 Gaming chip, paired with the processor, is expected to deliver smoother gameplay with full-scenario ray tracing and consistent frame rates even at higher resolutions.

The brand has confirmed that the device will support 144fps gaming at 2K resolution, backed by an advanced 8K vapor chamber Dome cooling system. The new cooling setup reportedly boosts thermal performance by 47 percent compared to the iQOO 13, ensuring optimal temperature control during heavy gaming or multitasking.

Display and Design Expectations

Leaked details suggest that the iQOO 15 will feature a 6.85-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED display from Samsung, offering a refresh rate of 144Hz and a peak brightness of 6,000 nits. This display, dubbed the “Everest” panel, promises vivid colors and exceptional clarity, ideal for both gaming and media consumption.

The smartphone is also rumored to come with a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for faster and more secure unlocks. It could carry an IP68 and IP69 rating, ensuring protection from dust and water, making it a durable choice for everyday use.

Battery and Charging Capabilities

The iQOO 15 is expected to house a massive 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging support. These charging capabilities would make it one of the fastest-charging flagship phones available in the market, ensuring that users can get a full day’s power within minutes.

Camera Setup and Imaging Power

In the optics department, the iQOO 15 is rumored to feature a triple-camera setup led by a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical and 100x digital zoom, and another 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. On the front, it may sport a 50MP selfie camera capable of capturing high-resolution images and videos.

Competitive Launch Timeline

The iQOO 15 is likely to arrive ahead of the OnePlus 15 launch in mid-November, positioning itself as one of the first Chinese flagships to hit the Indian market this festive season. With its combination of raw power, advanced display, and refined design, iQOO aims to set new standards for premium smartphones in India’s competitive flagship segment.
