Microsoft has officially launched Xbox Cloud Gaming in India, allowing Game Pass subscribers to stream and play hundreds of titles across phones, PCs, consoles, tablets, and select smart TVs. The service also works with some Amazon Fire TV Stick models and the Fire TV Cube.
The launch follows Microsoft’s restructuring of Game Pass plans, replacing Core and Standard with new Essential and Premium tiers, while the Ultimate tier remains unchanged.

Using the service is simple. A Game Pass subscription is required, along with a minimum internet speed of 20 Mbps. A compatible controller is needed for most games, though some titles support touch controls on mobile.
To begin streaming, users can open Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, or Apple Safari on any supported device and visit xbox.com/play. They can log in with their Game Pass account and start playing immediately. On PCs, some games also support keyboard and mouse input.
Smart TV users can download the Xbox app, sign in, and connect a Bluetooth controller to start cloud streaming directly on their TV.
Microsoft has also detailed the subscription tiers. The Essential plan gives access to more than 50 games and unlimited cloud streaming for ₹499 per month. The Premium plan offers 200+ games for ₹659 per month. The top-tier Game Pass Ultimate provides access to more than 400 games including Day One titles, along with EA Play, Ubisoft+ Classics, and Fortnite Crew. It costs ₹1,389 per month.
With Xbox Cloud Gaming now live in India, players can access high-end titles without needing a console or gaming PC, bringing a major shift to the cloud gaming landscape.
