Following the intervention of the Labour Ministry, Paytm has agreed to pay the notice period compensation and retain the joining bonus for a former employee. This decision comes after the regional labour commissioner’s office in Bengaluru summoned Paytm over allegations of forced terminations.

In June, multiple ex-employees of Paytm approached the ministry, citing “unlawful termination” without appropriate compensation. The recent development marks a resolution in favor of the aggrieved employee, as confirmed by the Economic Times.

This agreement underscores the importance of regulatory oversight in ensuring fair treatment of employees in the corporate sector. The Labour Ministry's involvement has resulted in a favorable outcome for the ex-employee, setting a precedent for similar cases in the future.
