Tom Mason, the former CTO of AI unicorn Stability, has joined Unlikely AI, a startup founded by Amazon Alexa developer William Tunstall-Pedoe. Unlikely AI, which raised £17.4 million in seed funding in 2022, is working on a generative AI platform to compete with ChatGPT and Gemini.
Mason's move follows several senior exits from Stability, including founder Emad Mostaque and key developers. Mason expressed excitement about joining Unlikely AI, citing the team's expertise and the startup's potential for innovation and success.
Additionally, Unlikely AI has appointed Fred Becker, former CFO of Peak AI, as its chief administrative officer. Becker shared his enthusiasm for Unlikely AI’s promising trajectory and high-growth potential.
