This new functionality, spotted in beta version 2.24.15.8 for Android, might utilize Google's live translation technology. Initially, users will need to download language packs, starting with English and Hindi.
Additionally, WhatsApp is working on a voice message transcription feature, found in beta version 2.24.15.5. Both features are still in development and not yet available to all beta testers, with no confirmed rollout date for all users.
